I wanted to share this with you as I was reading my Bible the other day. By the way if anyone has the opportunity, be sure to order the tapes on the conference that Dr.James White held on January 19,2002 regarding Mr.Campings 'Depart Out' teaching, they are very encouraging and assist in helping you see 'Outside the Box' as I like to put it. Anyway, as I was reading Galatians Chapter 1 I became re-acquainted with Paul's beginning admonition and serious warning to the Churches of Galatia. He states, and I am quoting from Jay P.Green's Literal Translation of the Bible
6 I wonder that you are so quickly being transferred from Him having called you by [the] grace of Christ to another gospel,
7 which is not another; only there are some troubling you and desiring to pervert the gospel of Christ.
8 But even if we, or an angel out of Heaven, should announce a gospel to you beside what we preached to you, let him be accursed.
9 As we have said before, and now I say again, If anyone announces a gospel to you beside what you received, let him be accursed.
The Apostle Paul makes many interesting points here. First off, God did not entrust Paul with the Gospel of God, He in fact used Paul to proclaim the Gospel of God. But as Paul wrote these letters he wasn't in some kind of meditational trance, his hand wasn't taken over so that it moved on its own. We know that the Bible is absolutely God's Word and He brought it into existence. Not by using the minds of men, looking at their writings and saying this is pretty much what I want my people through out time to hear, NO. God taught Paul the Gospel, God revealed to Paul the Gospel, God inspired (Breathed) into Paul the Gospel of God. The Apostle was quite aware of what made up the Gospel of God and our Lord Jesus Christ. Now with this in mind, if Paul wrote to the Galatian Churches with such seriousness of listening and following another gospel then don't you think that the Apostle knew very well what made up that Gospel? He states that even if it were himself along with others who would bring another gospel than what they have previously brought, then let them be accursed. Even if someone who was faithful to the Scriptures for so long would then in time bring something that is absolutely foreign to Biblical Christianity, that person is accursed of God. Whether it be the Apostle Paul himself or an angelic being it makes no matter, they are perverting the Gospel of Christ. If the Apostle did not believe that God revealed to Him the whole counsel of God do you think he would have admonished others to not listen to those who would bring another gospel? In other words, the Apostle was given the full revelation of the Gospel of Christ. In fact he was used of God to lay out the functions and guidelines of Christendom. If Paul thought "maybe in time God will begin to change His Gospel teaching", then don't you think he would NOT have warned others to NOT listen to another gospel? The Apostle was Divinely Inspired to write the Bible and relate God's message in written form. Mr.Camping believes that the Apostle didn't know the full story as it goes, so Mr.Camping somehow is being inspired. No Mr.Camping will not say that he is being inspired but what other conclusion can we come to if the Apostle Paul says that even if he himself were to preach another gospel to the Churches then let him be accursed. I can come to no other conclusion then to believe that anyone who preaches some strange doctrine that is so flat out in denial of fundamental Christianity, is or will be accursed of God. These are not my words of course but God's.
In Christ, Richard
